FOUNDATIONS - All of our exterior foundation walls are continous 8 inch or 12 inch block, or cast concrete depending on the home and lot configuration. We use only 16 inch by 16 inch interior piers filled solid for extra strength and apply a rubberized, tar based, spray-on waterproofing system along with a water shedding membrane on moisture prone foundation walls. A 6 mil black poly moisture barrier is installed on all crawl space floor areas to reduce moisture in the home. FOOTINGS - We dig our footings wider, 24 inches or better in all cases, and install at least two rows of #4 rebar in 3000 PSI concrete whether required by code or not. DRIVEWAYS/SLABS/WALKWAYS - All concrete slabs are filled with crusher-run or other highly compactable material, compacted and sprayed with termiticide, covered with 6 mil poly and strengthened with 4 inch cross wire. We use only 3000-3500 PSI concrete for slabs and saw cut all expansion joints.
